Belknap Campsite

Site Description:
Small campsite, accessable by paddling or lining a boat slightly upstream on the Nulhegan River, just past the Rt 102 bridge. Foot access possible on a short trail behind a Northern Forest Canoe Trail kiosk. Campsite situated on the river's north shore.
More Info:
This camping area is managed by the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation as part of the Connecticut River Paddling Trail. This site and surrounding shoreline was conserved with assistance from the Vermont River Conservancy and a generous landowner, the late Sherry Belknap. Campers are welcome to stay at this campsite before beginning a river trip - very useful if one arrives late in the day! In the summer of 2010, a composting toilet was built by Vermont River Conservancy volunteers and installed by a NorthWoods youth crew.
