First Light owns and operates a pumped storage hydroelectric facility on Northfield Mountain. In addition to numerous nature trails, they provide two campsites for paddlers along the river: Barton Cove Campground in Gill and Munns Ferry in Northfield (reservations required). They also manage the Riverview Picnic Area and provide scenic river cruises on their river boat, the Heritage.
