Heyy guys,
I’ve got a trip down a section of river this weekend. I was told that drinking out of the river isn’t a good idea because of all the farms. But I am staying at Fiddlehead Island which is 273 miles from sea, it’s near Monroe NH. With us being that far up river do you guys think it would be okay to use life straws and other filtering devices?

Drinking out of river
We just paddled the river length including the section near Monroe NH. The area is very empty and we didn't see our first cow until further south. We used our water filter at the campsite about three miles south of Comerford Dam (which seems to be near where you will be staying) and also at Gilman Island which is about 50 miles further south so my input is filter use should be fine.
