Drive-in access from Route 3. Just south of the Canadian border, this 25-site primitive campground is located in Connecticut Lakes State Forest.

Improved ramp for all boats

Drive-in access from Route 3. In the Great North Woods this lakefront park offers 45 sites for tent camping as well as some two-way hookups. The park offers excellent base for fishing, wildlife viewing and kayaking.

Behind a consignment store and post office, immediately downstream of the Rt 3 bridge, an access provides a take-out for groups not seeking to portage or scout the challenging Beecher Falls rapids that follow, or end a trip here. Overnight parking by permission of the landowner.

Take out on river right just before the dam buoys. Walk along Power House Road. Turn right on Rt 114. Take your first left down to the boat access just below the Canaan-West Stewartstown Bridge.

Simple site at north end of field, tucked in a stand of Silver Maples, on the Johnson Farm Wildlife Management Area. Great, gravel beach at most water levels. Box privy.

Quiet campsite on edge of field. Picnic table and mouldering privy. Suitable for larger groups; please concentrate tents on the northern end of the meadow, to prevent damage to hay crops.

A campsite has been developed for paddlers' on an island immediately across the river from Lyman Falls State Park and just upstream of the breached dam at Lyman Falls.
Land on the south-west side of the island, adjacent to the breached dam, and follow path to a large clearing with picnic table and fire ring. A box privy is located 100' up a path to the north.
This site was revitalized in 2018, during a workday in honor of William Schomburg, a long-time Columbia resident who helped conserve this land.

The most dangerous remains of the breached Lyman Falls dam were removed in 2022 through an effort led by the Connecticut River Conservancy. One section was left and capped with boulders to help maintain a popular fishing hole. However, at high water, the waves may still be capable of swamping open boats. Scout or portage this Class II drop on river left (land on the island). If you are planning to spot at Lyman Falls (VT), you may want to run the rapid on river right.

Small campsite, accessible by paddling or lining a boat slightly upstream on the Nulhegan River, just past the Rt 102 bridge. Foot access possible on a short trail behind a Northern Forest Canoe Trail kiosk off Route 102. Campsite situated on the river's north shore.

Peaceful campsite maintained by the Northern Forest Canoe Trail, conserved by the Vermont River Conservancy through the efforts of Bruce and Mary Sloat. The site is immediately downstream of granite railroad trestle, on the Vermont side. Land on a beach and follow trail north to campsite on former railroad right of way. Look for picnic table and fire ring. A privy is located is located to the southwest.

The campsite is situated in a grove of trees on a sandy bluff, at the edge of a field, on privately owned farmland.

The breached Wyoming Dam is a hazard due to rebar jutting into the river. A take out is located immediately upstream on the Vermont side. A portage trail takes paddlers acros Route 105 to a put-in downstream of the dam. Land by stone steps above bridge. At high water, it is possible to take-out slightly upstream in a small cove. Follow trail up steps, across Route 102, and down to sandy beach. Please be considerate of adjacent landowners and stay on the portage trail.

Beautiful campsite situated in floodplain forest, with great views of the White Mountains.

At bridge in Lancaster, one finds an improved ramp for all boats. Ask at gas station for best location to park.

Recently established campsite for paddlers only. Features include five tent platforms, picnic tables, and fire rings. No toilet facilities (yet) but one can walk about 1/4 mile downriver on the trail to the boatramp and use its porta potty.

Off Comerford Dam Road on VT side. Improved ramp. Toilets.

Take out river left by boat access. Walk along dam access road before descending the steep, mowed embankment adjacent to the dam. Descend stairs to a path. Walk downstream toward a gravelly beach. Those with portage carts may wish to continue duwn the dam access road which eventually loops around to the put-in. This route is longer, but less steep. Warning - river levels can rise unexpectedly here - by as much as 3'! Do not leave unattended gear close to the river, and listen for sirens.

Take out river left. Follow timber access stairs up to McIndoes Falls Rd. Follow path across road down to a landing beach.

Peaceful island with sandy beach, towering pines, and rocky knoll

Take out river left after sharp bend. Follow trail pass campsite, along edge of field, down an access road, and along a rough path to the river. Warning - put-in is rocky with difficult footing.

Small campsite at the portage of Ryegate Dam, about .5 miles north of Dodge Falls. Small shelter. Portable toilet near dam.

About 2 miles below the Woodsville Bridge. The northern campsite is located at the northeast end of this island with access on a moderately-sloped cobblestone bank. The southern campsite is at the southwestern corner of the island. Suggested donation of $10 per tent per night

The school allows camping in a mowed area adjacent to the boat launch.
Paddlers planning to use the site are encouraged to contact the Bradford Conservation Commission in advance, so they can notify the town police that campers are using the site.
