No single entity manages the Connecticut River Paddlers' Trail. Instead, a loose collaborative of organizations (the Friends of the Connecticut River Paddlers' Trail), guided by a shared vision statement, assists with trail planning and development, building and stewarding primitive campsites, improving access points and portage trails, and disseminating information to visitors. Currently the Vermont River Conservancy coordinates efforts in VT and NH, and the Appalachian Mountain Club coordinates efforts in MA, and the Connecticut River Watershed Council coordinated efforts in CT.
