Northern Forest Canoe Trail
The Northern Forest Canoe Trail stewards a 740-mile paddling route that connects the historic waterways of the Northern Forest. We work with community partners, students, and volunteers to maintain access points, campsites, and portage trails along our trail corridor. In addition, we foster safe and respectful use of the trail by providing maps and information for visitors and supporting youth programs. The organization is dedicated to foster community vitality by facilitating high quality outdoor experiences in the Northern Forest Region.
Along the Connecticut River, the NFCT manages several campsites in northern Vermont. The NFCT also plays a leadership role in helping coordinate trail efforts, including supporting the work to maintain this website and distribute maps and guides. It also deploys its stewardship crew to help with identified project priorities.
