Hi, my husband plan to start our 400+ mile canoe trip from Canaan, VT to Old Saybrook, CT about Sept. 14 - 16. We are hoping to take a ferry to Long Island Sound with our canoe and gear to continue our paddle from there to Shelter Island to visit friends. -- Patti and Fred von Mechow
