Hello!
Beginner paddler who has admittedly done little planning here, who was hoping to do five days on the river next week, starting below the South Hadley dam so that I wouldn't have to portage. But I'm just now seeing that after ending up at Fannie Stebbins or Kings Island at the end of Day 1, there is a ~29mi-34mi stretch of river (depending on FS or KI start) without any listed campsites. Does anyone have any beta, thoughts, ideas on camping options in between?
Thanks!

Camping Site
Hi - I am planning a trip for June 2024 - running into the same issue with this stretch of river. Was interested to see if you were able to find anything.

How did the trip go? Did you
How did the trip go? Did you find a campsite? I was going to suggest contacting the Towns of Wethersfield p or Rocky Hill since they have Riverfront Parkland with boat launches.

RE: Camping Site
As mentioned in my reply to Les, I just put in at Charter Oak Landing in Hartford and paddled to the sound. Next week I'll paddle from Turner Falls down to Charter Oak Landing. My last night will be camping on King's Island, so my final day will be 15.5mi to Charter Oak Landing to pull out. This will avoid any camping needed in that stretch of river

RE: Camping Site
Hello Les!
I am so sorry, I didn't see this notification until today when I logged in to plan my trip for next week. I ended up putting in at the Charter Oak Landing boat ramp last year and paddled four days to the sound. I did this so that this year I can do my paddle (5 days from Turner Falls), my last night of camping will be on King's Island, and then my final day of paddling will be the 15.5mi to Charter Oak Landing to pull out, avoiding any need to camp in this stretch
